A bee colony will often respond to the presence of intruders by swarming their intended target and using their own body heat to cook it alive. The skybuilders have discovered that this can be utilized to keep their hands warm, although the fact that said bees are still very much capable of stinging does present a minor flaw in this otherwise brilliant idea.
